ABOUT Vibes

My journey has been one of stark contrasts – from the depths of addiction to the heights of recovery. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and as a young man, I found myself spiraling into a destructive cycle of drunken fights, legal troubles, and estrangement from my family. From 16 to 26, I was trapped in active addiction, despite the efforts of my community, loved ones, and the courts to help me find sobriety. For those ten years, my world revolved around the next drink or drug. The last three of those years were spent on the streets.

In the summer of 2015, at the age of 26, I finally found my way to recovery. It wasn't a sudden miracle, but rather a gradual process of self-discovery and transformation. I embraced the 12 Steps, attending AA meetings and working closely with a sponsor. I began to reshape my thinking and my way of being in the world. Discipline, practice, and prayer became the cornerstones of my new life.

Nine months into my sobriety, I traveled to India and completed a teacher training course in yoga and meditation. This experience deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and ignited a passion for these practices. Upon returning to the States, I continued my studies, immersing myself in trainings in breathwork, communication techniques, and Yoga4Recovery.

My personal journey through addiction, transformation, and self-discovery has taken me from coast to coast and even around the world, eventually leading me to settle in the beautiful landscape of Southwestern Colorado. I’ve been in recovery from alcoholism and drug abuse for over nine years now.

From 2021 to 2025, I served as a Senior Adventure Based Therapy Guide at Legacy Treatment Center, a primary care facility. This experience provided invaluable insights into the therapeutic process and the power of experiential learning. I furthered my professional development by earning my coaching certification through Being True To You Coach Training, a renowned transformational coaching program. I also became a Certified Interventionist through the Arise Intervention Specialist Certification Program, equipping me with the skills to effectively guide families through the intervention process. I am a proud member of NAADAC – the National Association for Addiction Professionals.

Along my path, I've been fortunate to learn Native American forms of prayer and song, which have profoundly supported my personal growth and connection to a higher power. I've developed my own workshop on intimacy and connection, which I regularly offer to groups and gatherings. I'm also the producer of the Sangha Yoga Festival, a non-profit event dedicated to raising money for addiction and mental health support in the Four Corners area.

The practice of yoga and meditation has cultivated within me a deep sense of compassion and empathy. My work with the 12 Steps has grounded me in humility and a commitment to service. And my experience as a Wilderness Therapy Guide has woven together all the threads of my journey, shaping me into the man I am today.

I have dedicated my life to helping others discover the gifts of recovery and transformation. As an interventionist, I am committed to guiding my clients toward the most appropriate treatment options available, while also building a loving and supportive network for their families. As a Peer Recovery Coach, I work with clients from a place of understanding, recognizing where they are in their journey and knowing what it takes to create meaningful change. I offer all my services with deep gratitude to God, Creator, Great Spirit, for placing me on the path of addiction and recovery, so that I may be of service to others who suffer.
